Join us this October half-term for a colourful celebration of nature, creativity and Indigenous cultures from around the world.
The children will explore the close relationship many Indigenous communities have with nature through stories, art, symbols, traditions and seasonal celebrations. We will research ancient symbols, discover what they represented and learn how people used them to express their connection with the natural world, their communities and their ancestors.
Our activities will include nature-inspired face painting, handmade crowns and headdresses, colourful hair threads, clay modelling and art using leaves, feathers, twigs, seeds and other natural materials.

It will be a joyful week of making, exploring, learning and spending time together. As always, we will provide a friendly and welcoming space where children can be creative, make new friends and deepen their appreciation of nature and different cultures.
Schools are out, Christmas is nearly here… so let’s have three days of London adventures before the festivities begin! All activities will take place as part of the trips listed in the programme below.

As December weather likes to keep us guessing, we may swap the order of the trips to make the most of each day.

Since 2024, Ekaterina Belcheva, founder of Orokolo CIC, has been running a Nature Club at Crampton Primary School and supporting parents, governors and teachers with plans to transform the “New Land” — a green area used by Crampton children for outdoor play.
This year, through this wonderful joint effort, we successfully applied to Southwark Council and secured funding to help create a Forest School, gardening and nature area. The new space will allow us to run Forest School sessions, grow plants and establish a small sanctuary for local wildlife — a pocket of nature where children can learn when to leave wildlife undisturbed while also connecting with it, understanding it and growing to love it.
With the help of our local “landscape magician”, Will Wearing, we hope to have the dividing fence and raised growing beds ready for the second half of the autumn term.
We are incredibly proud to be part of this exciting project and look forward to watching the space — and the children’s relationship with nature — grow.
